Office of Controller - Williams, Whittle & Associates
  • Developed, programmed, tested, and installed a customized job order cost system using Knowledgeman. DTI also installed off-the-shelf accounting software and incorporated packages onto the LAN for a fully integrated system.
  • Developed user-friendly screens for data entry and verification.
  • Established a relational database structure for query and report generation.
  • Documented and installed pro forma accounting transactions for job order cost, accounts payable and receivables, sales, cash receipts and disbursements, payroll, and general journals.
  • Wrote interface program between the job order costs and "canned" accounting software to maximize a single entry, multi-file impact system.
MCI Corporation - Digital Communication
  • Developed and installed a relational and hierarchical database structure for on-line data retrieval and analysis. DTI conducted in-depth review of the electronic mail system using DEC, HP, IBM, and BBN hardware and software to produce on-line system documentation.
  • Developed a database structure that utilized information analysis forms identifying subject areas, base levels, selection criteria, and computations.
  • Provided a user-friendly interface for users to define data aggregates by making selections from standardized listings.
  • Wrote application programs to apply against production files to retrieve the required data fields.
  • Developed the database structure for on-line query and report generation for electronic mail and digital conversion services.
  • Developed comprehensive systems documentation for MCI Mail, a worldwide electronic mail system, identifying all interfaces and data transfers between and among various systems.
Director's Office - Blind Veterans Association
  • Developed a feasibility assessment and evaluation report detailing various options for upgrading the Series One Minicomputer and "canned" software.
  • Performed an independent evaluation of existing hardware and identified additional disk storage options to ease the burden on the over-worked Series One.
  • Reviewed various "canned" software packages that operate on a computer timeshare system and selected a vendor that met all data requirements.
